What is SPF and how does it work?Updated 16 hours ago
SPF (Sun Protection Factor) measures how well a sunscreen protects against sunburn-causing UV rays — higher SPF means more protection. But the number alone isn't the whole story: how much you apply, how evenly you apply it, and how often you reapply matter just as much as the SPF value on the label. And remember — a higher SPF does not mean you can spend more time in the sun. SPF is about the level of protection, not the amount of time you're covered.
