What is the difference between your different lenses?Updated 3 months ago

All Sunski lenses are polarized with 100% UV protection.

We offer two different types of lenses:

TAC Lenses - Our layered TAC lens is made from plant cellulose and delivers optical clarity, polarization, a scratch-proof coating. We chose TAC material for it’s winning combination of lightweight and durable impact resistance, which makes it ideal for active use.

Premium Lenses - Our premium lens is made from a precision CR-39 lens material. It offers the highest quality clarity without limiting performance during outdoor activities. CR-39 is polarized, ultralight and features incredibly strong, impact resistant lenses.

Non-Mirrored Lenses

Slate/Grey Lens - The most neutral lens we offer, our Slate/Grey lens doesn’t change the value of color but is dark enough to protect your eyes on bright sunny days. Ideal for everyday wear. Along with being ideal for scenes to be viewed in their most natural state, slate lenses also aid in preventing eye fatigue.

Amber, Brown or Sepia Fade Lens - Amber lenses do more than give the wearer a sepia outlook and a warm colored view of the world - they are great enhancers of vision. With the amber tint, much of the color spectrum's hazy end is blocked and your vision has more contrast, giving you crisp vision and allowing you to make out shapes more clearly. Our Amber or Sepia Fade lenses are optimal for:

- early morning, late afternoon, or cloudy, foggy, hazy daytime weather

- enhancing depth perception

- any activity in which focus is against green grass or blue skies

- any sport where distance needs to be judged (i.e: golf, tennis, boating, fishing, baseball etc..)

Forest Lens - With it’s cool green tint, the forest lens keeps your eyes shaded and enhances contrast. Choose the forest lens if you want higher contrast and color accuracy. Ideal for both sunny and low light environments. Forest lenses are ideal for:

- foggy, cloudy or bright, sunny days

- water or trail usage

Midnight, Indigo & Ocean Fade Lens - With its relaxing blue tint, our midnight, indigo and ocean fade lenses boost your vision while improving color perception. Great for snowy conditions, water sports or enjoying a sunny day.

Ruby, Velvet & Tera Fade lenses - With it’s warm, optimistic tint, this lens isn’t just for looks. A pink or reddish lens color improves depth perception and contrast on cloudy or foggy days. A great pick for both winter or shaded activities such as hiking or trail running.

Mirrored or Reflective Lenses

Silver or Flash Gold lens – Our silver and gold mirrored lenses feature a neutral grey tint ideal for all light conditions.

Bronze or Purple lens - Our popular bronze lens puts a warm amber glow on the world. Ideal for low light, cloudy days and dappled conditions where enhanced contrast and depth perception is the name of the game.

Sky, Blue, Aqua or Emerald Mirror lenses - Our blue and green mirrored lenses feature a neutral gray tint ideal for all light conditions. A great pick for everyday use.

Alpenglow, Rose Flash - A neutral grey tint paired with reflective pink lenses makes this an ideal pick for cloudy days, or variable sunlight conditions. Ideal for activities where enhanced depth perception and contrast is helpful, such as cycling or mountain biking, snow sports or trail running.

Lo Light Lenses

Our low light, high Visible Light Transmission lenses are great for protecting your eyes from harmful UV rays on cloudy days. And they're fun to wear.

Photochromic Lenses

Photochromic lenses react to changing light conditions by shifting from clear to dark, helping you see better in variable light conditions.
